Don’t forget to check your document for the following potential problems:

  1. Is my resume written to target the positions and companies I'm targeting?

  2. Have I prioritized the most important information in my document?

  3. Have I focused on the position's requirements?

  4. Have I included my work achievements?

  5. Have I been honest and accurate?

  6. Have I checked the document for errors?

  7. Have I had someone else proofread my document?

  8. Does the text align correctly on all printed pages?

  9. Are my dates listed in an easy to reference and logical manner?

  10. Have I exaggerated any of my skills or achievements?
