I'll critique your resume and cover letter for format, content, and presentation. You should be able to handle the rewrite yourself using the suggestions I give you. This is nothing like the typical free critiques you get from other services. This 6 to 9 page review is more of a "how to" guide for reworking your resume to be the best it can be, not just a "grading" of your resume or list of problems with no advice on how to fix them.

My critique includes 3 parts:

• Part 1 - An analysis of your resume document with recommendations for improving it in the areas of organization, formatting, content, and grammar including specific examples from your resume.

• Part 2 - A template designed specifically for your particular background with all your headings set up for you along with notes on what information to put where and how to present it.

• Part 3 - A critique of your cover letter. If you don't have a cover letter, I'll give you advice and suggestions for writing your letter along with a template you can modify on a case-by-case basis as you target various employers during your job search.

My clients are able to rework their resumes into excellent presentations by following the advice I offer and the templates I provide and it's a great way to save hundreds of dollars on a professional rewrite.

Resume Writing Services

For my clients who don't have an existing resume for me to critique, I offer a full resume writing service.  My resume writing packages range in price from $150 to $1,000 and are based on the time requirements of each project.

Typical fee ranges for my resume writing service:

• New Grads & Entry Level - $150 - $250

• Early Career Level - $200 - $400

• Mid Level - $350 - $550

• Senior & Executive Level - $500 - $1,000

Please note that these are my target ranges. Some complex projects may require additional work while other more straight-forward projects may require less work. You can contact me for an exact quote for your resume project based on your particular situation.

All resume writing packages include the following files and web postings:

• Resume in Microsoft Word (.doc) file format

• Resume in Rich Text Format (.rtf) file format

• Resume in Adobe (.pdf) file format

• Resume in ASCII (.txt) text file format

• Cover letter in Microsoft Word (.doc) format designed so that you can modify it on a case-by-case basis

• Reference sheet in Microsoft Word (.doc) format designed so that you can modify it with your references and their contact information

• Resume Web page located at  (http://www.1stResumes.com/resumes/yourname.pdf)

How the resume writing process works:

First, I'll prepare a working draft of your resume in Microsoft Word. If you have an existing resume, I'll use what's relevant to get started. If not, I'll ask you to complete my resume questionnaire. Within the text of the 1st draft of your resume, I'll include questions for you to answer and requests for additional information. You can make your comments directly on the resume file and send it back to me. Then I'll go to work on the 2nd draft. I'll continue exchanging drafts with you until I have all the information I need to complete your resume.

We'll work on your resume project completely by e-mail. When I receive draft comments back from you, I'll go to work on the next draft. I'll have the 1st draft of your resume completed by the end of the next business day after I receive your order and will complete subsequent drafts within the same time frame.
